Gender Analysis: Inconclusive

In an attempt to determine if the author of a blog I posted a link to in my previous post was male or female, I stumbled across this site that analyzes text to determine the gender of the author. It’s not perfect, as evidenced by the image above. Of course, I’m actually happy that I’m as gender neutral as it says. I wonder how it would feel about some of my earlier work.

Most often you can sense that a post is written by a male, it is straight to the point and not much of any emotions (it’s just about my own perspective) but some female writer seems to write post as if masculinity abounds on it. But more or less much of the post I read though I may not look for whose writing it, I can still sense the gender of who wrote it.

I think we all have significant insight into the gender of the person writing something due to small clues of which we aren’t even aware. I find it comforting, however, that my writing is neutral enough to avoid putting off many readers.
