Instead, you get them now. There&#8217;s this pretty cool thing going on over at App.net called the <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.app.net\/hashtags\/wednesdaychallenge\">#WednesdayChallenge<\/a> that encourages users to write a short piece of fiction that fits the weekly theme in 256 characters (technically, less, as the hashtag <a href=\"https:\/\/alpha.app.net\/hashtags\/wedc\">#WedC<\/a> needs to be included in the post). I discovered it yesterday and thought it sounded like fun, so I made two entries.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/alpha.app.net\/zepfhyr\/post\/12440255<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/alpha.app.net\/zepfhyr\/post\/12440638<\/p>\n<p>This sort of reminded me of a subreddit I found a month or so ago called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/shortscarystories\/\">\/r\/shortscarystories<\/a>. I took the opportunity then to post <a href=\"http:\/\/zepfhyr.com\/blog\/2013\/08\/the-road-less-traveled-a-microfiction-horror-story\/\">this piece<\/a> there (which directly inspired the first of my two entries above).\u00c2\u00a0I hope to continue participating in the #WednesdayChallenge going forward, as it&#8217;s an excellent writing exercise and I really need to be writing more.
