{"id":2713,"date":"2012-09-20T18:30:28","date_gmt":"2012-09-20T23:30:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/zepfhyr.com\/blog\/?p=2713"},"modified":"2019-01-12T17:27:49","modified_gmt":"2019-01-12T23:27:49","slug":"ios-6-and-the-amazing-adoption-rate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zepfhyr.com\/blog\/2012\/09\/ios-6-and-the-amazing-adoption-rate\/","title":{"rendered":"iOS 6 and the  Amazing Adoption Rate!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A couple weeks ago, Google updated their <a href=\"http:\/\/www.afterdawn.com\/news\/article.cfm\/2012\/09\/06\/ice_cream_sandwich_breaks_above_20_percent_android_share\">Android version install-base breakdown<\/a> and revealed that Ice Cream Sandwich had finally (after nearly a full year) reached 20% of Android phones in use today.<\/p>\n<p>To fully understand the significance of this, Apple&#8217;s iOS 6 reached 15% of eligible devices <a href=\"http:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2012\/09\/20\/ios-6-already-on-15-of-device-24-hours-after-release\/\">in 24 hours<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An important distinction, however, is that most Android devices without ICS are ineligible to receive it as the manufacturers never made it available for certain devices.
